Florida woman accused of erratic drunken behavior

by | Feb 23, 2018 | Drunk Driving Charges |

Drunken driving is rarely a good idea, but if a driver does get pulled over on suspicion of drunk driving, it is always wise to avoid acting out towards the officer on the scene. A Florida woman recently learned this lesson the hard way and now faces charges after some allegedly salacious behavior during a DUI stop.

The woman received charges after she allegedly rear-ended another vehicle and then proceeded to urinate on the police officer who responded to the accident, all with a child in the back seat of the car. After the woman rear-ended the other vehicle, reports indicate that the other driver succeeded in motioning for the woman to pull over. The woman complied, but allegedly did so while screaming and pleading with the other driver to not call the police.

The other did, however, call the police. When police arrived, the woman suspected of drunk driving was confrontational with the officers, even going so far as too stand on her toes to get in one officer’s face. As three officers worked together to put her in handcuffs, the woman allegedly said, “I’m peeing and I hope it gets on you!”

While the image of a woman yelling at a police officer that she hopes her urine gets on him is a funny one, it does her few favors when it comes to building a strong legal defense. The more difficult a suspect is during a stop, the less options he or she often has when it comes time to fight the charges.

If you or someone you love recently received DUI charges, it is very important to use every resource you have to fight these charges and defend your rights. If you do not protect your rights, you may find the consequences are far greater than you anticipated.
